Ridgeon Group welcomes new chief executive

By KBBDaily on 19th June 2017 - 10:48am

Ridgeon Group – which includes Ridgeon Timber & Builders Merchant and PlumbStock – has named Ian Northen – who has held the role of group finance director at the company for seven years – as its new CEO.

Prior to joining Ridgeon, Northen worked in audit and corporate finance at Cambridge-based accountancy firms for 13 years. During his time as Ridgeon's group finance director, Northen led the acquisition of three new branches and served a year as operations director.

“It’s a real privilege to be appointed to this role at such an important time for Ridgeon Group,” said Northen. “I am determined to build on our strong foundations by focussing on developing our core merchant business, which continues to thrive and grow.

“We are also looking to the future and this is underlined by Ridgeon's upcoming online relaunch and the rapid expansion of PlumbStock and Anglia Tool Centre across the region,” he added. “We are proud of our continued heritage as an independent, family-owned business and are excited about the potential for further growth.”
