Blum donates €100,000 to charity through signature drive

By KBBDaily on 19th June 2017 - 11:52am

Blum has donated €100,530 to Austrian aid organisation Light for the World – which performs cataract operations in Africa, Asia, Latin America and south eastern Europe – as part of its charity drive at the Interzum trade fair in Cologne.

Instead of holding traditional trade fair giveaways, for 30 years Blum has been collecting signatures from guests and donating €30 to the aid organisation for every signature it gets, covering the price of one eye operation.

“We donate €30 for every signature – that's the price for an eye operation,” said Blum managing director Gerhard Blum. “We have been supporting Light for the World for many years now. With our donation, we are able to help children and older people, the weakest members of society.”
