Gorenje begins search for new buyer for the business

By KBBDaily on 7th December 2017 - 15:16pm

Appliance manufacturer Gorenje is looking for a new shareholder, which it hopes to be in place by the end of the third quarter of next year.

According to the company, the hunt for a new partner follows a 12% growth rate for the first nine months of this year, equating to net profit of €4.6m and a 5% sales increase to €944m.

“Whilst the cost of raw materials has continued to rise, we’ve had a successful year and are keen to build on that with this collaboration,” said Gorenje UK managing director Iztok Krulc, pictured.

“The business is built on strong foundations and a rich heritage, and is something we want to continue in order to take Gorenje to the next level.”

Krulc added: “People are wanting to save money on running costs or boost their green credentials, and are becoming increasingly aware of how impactful highly-rated appliances can be.

“We have always prioritised energy efficiency and it’ll certainly continue to be at the top of the agenda for production during 2018.”
