BSH Home Appliances has warned its trade partners that availability of many induction hobs across its Bosch, Neff and Siemens brands is “likely to be affected until April 2018”.

According to BSH, it previously informed trade partners in November last year that a “key component for the control panel” of many of its induction hobs “cannot be manufactured to the expected level by a third party supplier”.

The group is temporarily discontinuing several induction hob variants to “reduce the impact”, and is introducing new models that do not require the affected component.

BSH said it has created a “dedicated” 2017/18 winter induction hob brochure for the three affected brands that provides a “detailed summary” of the models that will be available until further notice.

“From the 15th January 2018, BSH will stop taking orders for those induction hob models that are temporarily discontinued,” the company said. “The focus will be on clearing existing back orders on an ‘oldest orders first’ basis.”

It added: “We continue to work closely with our manufacturing locations to get clear information and secure adequate production. We are in regular contact with our trade partners in regards to this supply issue, communicating up to date information as and when available.”
