Roman hosts Made in Britain manufacturers' workshop

By KBBDaily on 21st April 2017 - 09:26am

Shower products manufacturer Roman hosted the first Made in Britain marketing4manufacturers workshop for the North East earlier this month at its headquarters, with 35 people attending the event.

The workshop was the first of three half-day marketing workshops in the North East, Midlands and North West by Made in Britain to share “best practice in provenance marketing and help the members make the most of their Made in Britain membership”.

The workshop included Roman sharing advice with members about applying the Made in Britain marque and demonstrating effective use of social media, with the Department for International Trade and Lloyds Bank Manufacturing also present to give guidance on exports and sales.

“It was a pleasure to be involved with the first Made in Britain event and the organisation’s aims and values have never been so important in our post-Brexit climate,” said Roman managing director David Osborne.

Made in Britain CEO and chairman of the workshop, John Pearce, added: “These inaugural events have come about as a result of direct feedback from our manufacturing members. UK makers have told us they want to meet other UK manufacturers. This allows them to source UK suppliers and share best practice in provenance marketing.”
