HiB celebrates double anniversary

By KBBDaily on 21st April 2017 - 14:03pm

Bathroom product manufacturer HiB is celebrating a double anniversary, with two of its workers – marketing director Steve Kaye, pictured left, and technical and facilities director Nigel Knapton, right – who are marking 25 years each at the company.

Kaye joined the company in 1992 as a sales representative, gradually progressing to national sales manager followed by sales and marketing director in 1998, before becoming marketing director. “Working for HiB is like working with your family,” said Kaye. “You’re working for good people who value your work, your ideas, and you as a person.”

He added: “As a business they challenge you to help you grow and also reward you well. That goes for everyone. That’s why I have remained with the company for so long, and will do so for as long as they let me!”

Knaption joined HiB in 1991 as distribution manager, and was made distribution centre director in 2009 before being promoted to technical director and then technical facilities director. “HiB has allowed me opportunities I would not otherwise have had access to,” said Knapton.

“I have officially opened its new distribution facility and had the opportunity to travel overseas to visit exhibitions and suppliers around the world. I have also been allowed the authority to establish a national delivery fleet and manage the move on three separate occasions to new and much larger premises, which I am particularly proud of having achieved within my career.”
