Franke UK has announced its plan to cease selling its range of appliances under its Frames by Franke brand, as part of the company’s “strategic decision to refocus and prioritise its activities in the UK and Ireland market” by concentrating on its “core” categories of sinks, taps, waste management and hoods.

The Frames by Franke appliances will stop being sold by the company at the end of March to allow the company to “dedicate its resources and expertise to growing sales and brand strength in its key product areas”.

The company added that while the appliances in the Frames by Franke collection will be withdrawn, the collection’s sinks, taps and accessories will continue to be available, and will be sold through Franke’s distribution partners.

“Looking at the UK market, sinks and taps are our traditional heartland where we see big opportunities especially in the instant boiling water sector, as well as in extending our market penetration in waste management and hoods,” said Franke UK managing director Neil Clark.

“We have many new products coming through from our innovation pipeline in 2018 in sinks, taps and luxury hoods, as well as a brand new line from premium brand KWC. There are lots of positives for our customers and I believe the UK market, with its continuing challenges, is best served by us prioritising our attention in these areas and not in appliances where the market is heavily represented already.”
