Smeg UK has appointed Stuart Benson as its new head of built-in appliances, with Benson joining the company from Gorenje UK, where he held the role of sales director.

Benson – who has more than 17 years of experience – has also previously worked as a national sales manager at Gorenje, as well as national key account manager at CDA, national sales manager at Wolseley UK and regional sales manager at Waterline.

In his new role, Benson will be responsible for expanding Smeg’s built-in division. “We’re thrilled to welcome Stuart aboard the team here at Smeg,” said Smeg UK sales director Paul Barker.

“His vast wealth of industry knowledge and experience is second-to-none and we look forward to seeing what he will achieve for the brand. 2018 is an incredibly exciting year for Smeg, with its MDA sector consistently growing, and Stuart will assist with a variety exciting new launches over the course of the year.”
