By KBBDaily on 21st April 2017 - 11:00am

The Furniture Industry Research Association – FIRA – is set to host a training session on the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 – CDM 2015 – in conjunction with Lighthouse Safety Training at FIRA's facilities in Hertfordshire.

The training session – which will take place on Tuesday 6th June – is “more tailored towards designers and installers of kitchens, bedrooms and bathrooms”, according to the organisation, and is free to its members.

The CDM 2015 regulations are designed to improve health and safety in the construction industry and also applies to designers, principal designers, principal contractors, contractors and workers.

The training day's agenda includes what changes have happened since the implementation of the regulations and the potential pitfalls for businesses, including sentencing guidelines for breaches of the regulations.
