Manchester-based online bathroom retailer Bathroom Takeaway has appointed Neil Butterwick – who has previously worked at Focus DIY, Pukka Pads and Ryman Stationery – as its new head of supply chain and product management.

In his new role, Butterwick will be managing the roll-out of the brand’s 14 new outlets across the country, which it announced last year when it unveiled plans to open its first outlet on Regent Road in Manchester.

According to the company, the flagship store in Manchester “exceeded all sales targets and received fantastic customer feedback”. Bathroom Takeaway’s second store is set to open in Birmingham in March.

“To be part of a business that hit the ground running with a 10,500 pallet capacity distribution centre on day one is a really an exciting opportunity,” said Butterwick.

“No day is ever the same and the talented team are all so committed and enthusiastic that it really does make it a pleasure to come to work. As a business we have ambitious growth strategies in place for Bathroom Takeaway and I’m looking forward to implementing them.”

Managing director Juian Smith added: “Neil has been instrumental in making our supply chain management function so seamless and strong and we’re very fortunate to have him as senior member of our team.

“We have some very exciting plans for 2018 and I’m sure Neil and his team will rise to the challenges as we enter the next stage of our growth.”
