Wren Kitchens, a UK kitchen retailer, has won the Outstanding Employer and Companies Turning Over £50m categories at the recent Yorkshire Post Excellence in Business Awards. Wren Kitchens, which was founded in the Yorkshire region in 2009, was recognised for its strong business growth and the value it places on its employees.

In 2018, Wren experienced a 20.7% increase in turnover. It employs 5,168 across its manufacturing facilities, retail showrooms and at its headquarters in Barton-upon-Humber, and recently announced a new £120 million manufacturing facility, employing a further 1,200. It has also seen 13 showrooms opening across the UK this year, and managing Director Mark Pullan has suggested that the company growth is attributable to Wren employees.

Pullan said: “Our rapid growth and development is down to substantial reinvestment in key areas of the business, but most importantly the key to our success is our strong, ambitious team ensuring we continue to be industry leaders in our field.”
