Candy, the domestic appliance specialist, has launched its first fridge freezer to feature innovative smart food management technology.

The appliance, which uses WiFi connectivity to manage expiry dates on food inside the fridge, sends notifications to the Candy Simply-Fi app in order to let users know when food is about to expire.

It also features a drink cooling feature, where the app will notify consumers when drinks have been cooled to the correct temperature.

Steve Macdonald, business director, freestanding division at Hoover Candy UK, said: “The Candy Bell’Ó is the perfect blend of Italian style, smart tech and efficiency.

“With so much technology at our fingertips, we’ve made sure that buyers can get added value from their purchase by using its connected capabilities.”
