GROHE, a leading brand for full bathroom solutions and kitchen fittings, has for the first time awarded 43 graduates of the GROHE Dual Tech training course with an internationally recognised plumbing certificate.

The training course, which for the last 10 years has seen socially disadvantaged people between the ages of 17 and 25 be trained to become sanitary specialists, sees graduates gain good prospects for the future and works to counteract the shortage of skilled workers in certain areas, thereby improving the living conditions of many local people.

To date, 1,200 young people have been trained, and according to GROHE, at each location the programme takes place, it is ensured that the qualifications are recognised on the respective national level. With the qualification young plumbers can apply for a position at any other company if they wish to.

In addition to annual programmes, GROHE Dual Tech offers short-term courses to train candidates to become assistant plumbers. It has further training courses with market-oriented modules for young professionals from construction and plumbing companies, and to ensure quality standards, the instructors receive advanced training with measures such as "Train-the-Trainer." The programme is completed by regular visits from GROHE employees for a personal exchange and the use of GROHE materials and training aids.
