Electrolux, the leading global appliance company, has announced Luke Harding as its new General Manager UK and Ireland.

Harding, who has held high profile positions in the company since joining in 2016, will succeed Peter Spencer, who has been promoted into a Vice President role within the European business.

Harding comes to the comes to the role with a thorough understanding of the Electrolux UK & Ireland, having previously served in the role of Head of Kitchen Retail & Contracts and, most recently, Head of Electrical Retail.

He has more than twenty years of commercial experience spanning sales, marketing and operations roles across a variety of sectors, including the drinks industry, household products and personal care.

Harding said: “I’m delighted to be taking on responsibility for Electrolux UK & Ireland during such an important time for our company. Not only am I committed to a strategy of continued investment in the AEG and Zanussi brands to further accelerate the growth they have seen in recent years, but I also look forward to continuing our commitment to the Better Living Programme we implemented in 2019.

"As a leader in home appliances, Electrolux is perfectly positioned to assist consumers in living a more sustainable lifestyle and our innovative technology and product solutions, along with our brand and corporate partnerships, aim to answer that need.”

Peter Spencer added: “Luke’s stellar contribution to the commercial team within the Electrolux UK and Ireland business made him the perfect candidate to take on the General Manager role. He will play a pivotal part in building AEG and Zanussi’s strong growth record, increasing our market share and contributing to Electrolux’s upwards trajectory. With the addition of our Better Living Programme, I’m excited to see how the organisation’s commitment to sustainability in the UK and Ireland is shaped under Luke’s visionary direction.”
