Utopia appoints contract sales head

Utopia Bathrooms has appointed Mark Dekkers as its new head of contract sales to “develop growth within the increasingly important housebuild and refurbishment market”, according to the company.

Dekkers has more than 25 years of experience providing “integrated furniture solutions” to housebuilders, Utopia said, and has worked with suppliers such as Moores, Symphony and Kelvin in the past.

“I am very excited to be joining Utopia, the leading British manufacturer of bathroom furniture, at this important time to take the contract business to the next level,” he said. “In particular, I am looking forward to developing the product and service offering to make Utopia the key bathroom specialist to the housebuilder.”

Utopia marketing director Beth Boulton added: “Mark’s experience will be invaluable in understanding and meeting the volume housebuilders’ requirements in a changing marketplace, from meeting peak year-end demand, to helping housebuilders sell homes through innovative design and building on long-term relationships across the new-build spectrum.”
