London bus crashes into Poggenpohl showroom

By KBBDaily on 10th August 2017 - 12:45pm

A Poggenpohl showroom on Lavender Hill in Battersea has received substantial damage after a double-decker bus crashed into the store front early this morning.

At the time of writing, 10 passengers have been treated for injuries from the crash. According to Poggenpohl UK managing director Simon Richmond, no Poggenpohl staff were injured as the showroom had not yet opened for the day.

“We are relieved that no one from our team was injured as the showroom had not yet opened for the day, but our thoughts are with the driver and passengers on the bus as we understand there have been casualties,” he said.

“We hope to return to business as usual as soon as possible, but the front of the showroom has been severely damaged so in the short term all on-going business and new enquiries will be managed from Poggenpohl’s nearby studios in Pimlico and Waterloo.”
