Wetroom market value rises by 10%, says AMA

By KBBDaily on 5th September 2017 - 15:25pm

According to the latest report by AMA Research, the value of the wetroom market has risen by 10% between 2014-2016, with growth particularly strong in 2015 and more modest rates in 2016-17 of around 3%.

The wetroom market is expected to have increased by 18% by 2021 compared with market size this year, AMA said. As the showering area of the home has become an “essential part of bathroom design”, demand for wetroom has increased “significantly” in recent years, the research firm added.

However, current political and economic uncertainty in the UK has resulted in modest growth in 2016 and the first half of 2017. But AMA noted that demand in the future will be supported by the “emerging trend towards multi-generational households” which will need to adapt inclusively to suit the needs of all family members living at home.
