Appliance company Caple has appointed Gavin Ferguson to the newly created role of national contracts manager.

Ferguson has joined the company from Smeg where he worked for close to 10 years, most recently as national contracts manager. Prior to that, he worked at Electrolux Group for more than 17 years. In his role at Caple, Ferguson will be responsible for developing new business opportunities in the contracts market, targeting national and regional housebuilders and specifiers.

“Caple is already renowned with developers for its incredible collection of wine cabinets and I’m looking forward to introducing them to our full portfolio of products, from high-performance appliances, sinks and taps to multi-functional kitchen and bedroom furniture,” said Ferguson.

“My previous experience has given me an invaluable understanding of the requirements of developers and the importance of supplying them and their clients with quality products and first-class customer service, which makes Caple a natural choice for the house-builder.”

Caple managing director Danny Lay added: “With his wealth of industry experience, Gavin is a very welcome addition to our team. The contracts market is a key focus for Caple and I’m confident that Gavin can help us expand our offering and reach even further in this sector.”
