Merlyn Showering has received a Red Dot award for 2018 for its Arysto Eight infold door, pictured, which was chosen out of more than 6,300 entries from 59 countries to be named a winning product.

The company recently unveiled two new “ground-breaking” design-led ranges for its Arysto collection on its 55sq ft stand at the KBB Birmingham show in March.

According to Merlyn, the Red Dot Awards’ judging panel of 40 members assessed entries based on strict criteria including level of innovation, functionality, formal quality, ergonomics and durability.

“After months of consultation, research, planning and design we have been able to unveil the Arysto Eight at recent industry events,” said Merlyn Showering commercial director Barry Hoyne.

“Winning the prestigious Red Dot award has highlighted the time, resources, and expertise that have been invested in our new collection by our designers and product team, in collaboration with Dolmen design.”

He added: “As number one we need to be leading the market – so continuing to develop new products and innovation that keep us in that position is a must for us.”
