Poggenpohl has named Gernot Mang, pictured, as its new managing director for global sales and marketing, with Mang set to start his new role on the 5th June 2018.

Mang will be responsible for all activities within sales, marketing and product management in his new role. He has “extensive international sales experience” with luxury products, the company, and previously worked at the eyewear business of German brand Rodenstock for the last four years.

“Gernot Mang was our top candidate – I am very delighted to have him as my colleague, especially with his strong experience in managing international brands,” said Poggenpohl managing director Thomas Kredatus. “Now we can execute all the changes we have globally initiated already in 2017 with double power.”

Mang added: “I am very passionate about companies with heritage and legacy. Poggenpohl has an incredibly strong brand, and it is our task to write the next chapter of its successful history which dates back over 125 years.

“I am looking forward to working together with Thomas Kredatus to continue along the path he has started successfully,” he added.
