Duravit takes home two Red Dot awards

24th April 2018 - 07:00am

Duravit has received two Red Dot awards for 2018 for its C.1 tap series, pictured left, and its Luv complete bathroom range, right, which were awarded for their “outstanding design”, according to the company.

The brand’s C.1 design range by Kurt Merki Jr “perfectly reflects Duravit’s design language”, the company said. Danish designer Cecilie Manz created the “unusual design” of the Luv bathroom collection, Duravit added, with the range combining “Nordic purism and timeless, emotional elegance”.

This year, more than 6,300 entries from 59 countries were submitted to the Red Dot Awards, with a 40-strong jury evaluating products individually to decide the winners.

Other winners of Red Dot awards this year include Jaquar for its Artize brand’s Tailwater tap, KitchenAid for its Iconic fridge, Novy for its Panorama 90cm combination induction hob and downdraft extractor, and Merlyn for its Arysto Eight infold door, while Lixil took home 21 awards for products across its various brands.
