Flintshire-based sink and tap supplier The 1810 Company has partnered with kitchen furniture maker Schmidt Kitchens UK, becoming a preferred supplier as part of the latter’s Preferred Supplier Scheme.

The new scheme from Schmidt is set to be rolled out across all 21 Schmidt Kitchens branches in the UK, the company said, but will initially be piloted with a small number of suppliers.

“We’re extremely proud to be nominated as the supplier for sinks and taps in this scheme,” said The 1810 Company managing director Gareth Williams. “Like ourselves, the Schmidt group is growing rapidly and every one of their showrooms look stunning.

“It’s a fantastic platform for 1810 products to gain retail exposure and the initial reaction has been extremely promising. We look forward to our partnership growing with each new store opening.”

Schmidt Hammersmith brand manager Lisa-Marie Johnson added: “Using the group’s combined purchasing power to gain preferential terms makes sense for all companies involved and helps us to build closer relationships with our suppliers.”
