Kitchen and bathroom pod market sees 8% growth

The UK market for kitchen and bathroom pods has seen an 8% increase in value in 2017, as well as a 4% growth rate in terms of the volume of pod installations, according to a new report by AMA Research.

The research firm also noted that there has been growth in demand for higher specification pods in the luxury apartment and upmarket hotel sectors. However, the largest area of demand for kitchen and bathroom pods remains purpose-built student housing.

Kitchen pods account for less than 10% of the market, AMA Research said, adding that demand for pods is expected to grow “steadily” at a rate of 4-5% per year over the next five years.
