Online mattress retailer Otty Sleep has expanded oversees with the opening of a new office in the Netherlands, which the company said will help “increase its European presence following its successful growth in the UK”.

The new virtual office and warehouse, located in Amsterdam, will “work as its own entity with processing and shopping being conducted directly from the Dutch capital”, with supported provided from Otty Sleep’s Leeds headquarters.

The mattress company will be recruiting new staff for the expansion. The move into the Netherlands marks Otty Sleep’s second venture into mainland Europe, following its recent launch in Germany earlier this year in May.

“We first ventured into Europe earlier this year following the company’s success in the UK,” said founder and CEO Michal Szlas, pictured. “Ultimately, the expansion has proved to be successful, and we’ve since seen potential customers from other European countries ask about our award-winning products.

“We saw Netherlands as the next natural step, and are employing new members of the team to help accommodate the increasing demand. We’re very confident the Dutch venture will bring the same amount of success that we’ve already experienced in the UK and Germany.”
