Kitchen door and component supplier Uform has appointed Gary Hutton, pictured left, and Derek Douglas, right, as its new operations director and plant manager, respectively.

Hutton’s career spans more than 30 years, Uform said, including 20 years within the kitchen industry in senior-level roles within retail and manufacturing. He has also previously worked as a lean consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Douglas has more than 25 years of experience within global manufacturing, having previously spent 12 years as factory manager at tobacco firm JTI Gallaher. In his new role, he will oversee the daily operation of Uform’s manufacturing facility.

“We are pleased to welcome Gary Hutton to the board of directors and Derek Douglas to our senior management team,” said Uform managing director Simon Oliphant. “We recognise that as a growing business, we need to invest heavily in our operations team.

“These two appointments are critical to the ongoing delivery of our vision, which is being easy to do business with. With the skillset of both new recruits, we are in a position to take the company to the next level of growth while ensuring our customers are offered premium quality products and the first-class buying experience they deserve.”
