The Used Kitchen Company – TUKC – has supplied a bespoke kitchen for Marks & Spencer’s new Christmas ‘must-haves’ advert, featuring Holly Willoughby and David Gandy, pictured.

The retailer’s advertising production team contacted TUKC founder and managing director Looeeze Grossman, who pointed them in the direction of a “12-year-old, handmade, painted wood kitchen with solid wood drawers and doors” plus an island, worktop and dishwasher.

The kitchen was dismantled and collected from a home in Hampshire to be installed in the production studio to provide the backdrop for the ‘Must-have in-laws to impress’ scene featuring model David Gandy sporting yellow rubber gloves to tackle the post-Christmas dinner washing up.

“We’ve been eager with anticipation for weeks now, waiting patiently for the advert to be screened, keen to find out how the kitchen fit into the thematic,” said Grossman. “It’s fabulous to see David Gandy, complete with his ‘Marigolds’, standing in a kitchen that was available on our online portal just a short time ago.

“We are delighted that the production team didn’t want just any old kitchen, but a Used Kitchen Company kitchen. Hopefully, more production teams will follow their nose to our site and recognise that they can find designer kitchens that are on-brand for their clients, but which don’t cost the earth, thanks to our 50-70%-off RRP price reductions.”

She added: “Being part of the Christmas 2018 advertising schedule is a great way to celebrate TUKC’s 13 years as a kitchen recycling pioneer.” The company is marking its 13th anniversary in November with the theme ‘lucky for some’, referring to its customers.
