Rearo relocates warehouse to expand growth in North East

Scottish wall panel and worktop manufacturer Rearo Laminates has relocated its north eastern showroom and warehouse from Gateshead to Washington to expand growth in the region in response to customer demand.

The new premises is double the size of the former location, Rearo said, clocking in at close to 11,000sq ft. The company said it will have greater stock levels and faster turnaround times on orders, as well as “enhanced access” to commercial customers in the region.

At the end of October, the Scottish company invested £200,000 in the expansion of its Govan headquarters, adding 2,000sq ft to the space as well as potentially creating 10 new jobs. The company added that it expects to pass £1m in sales for the first time this year.

“We have doubled the size of our premises so that we can continue to grow in the North East,” said Rearo Gateshead manager Neil Munro, pictured. “We will be able to stock a bigger range of all our products, in greater quantities, which means we can fulfill customer orders even more quickly.

“Our customers include householders and trade and commercial clients, and we are looking forward to welcoming them all into the new showroom. We are proud to be investing in the North East, and of being a true UK manufacturing success story.”
