British fitted furniture manufacturer Daval has been shortlisted for two 2019 Made in Yorkshire awards for its Option-i production technology, which is up for the Manufacturing Innovation award and Digital Engineering/Technology award.

The winners of the awards will be announced at a dinner on the 7th March at the Hilton Hotel in Leeds. “We created this exclusive design process called Option-i for the sole benefit of our customers,” said Daval managing director Simon Bodsworth, pictured.

“Now more than 10 years strong and having undergone new investment, this method of design gives us the unique ability to personalise any home using our furniture with absolute ease.

“Consequently, Daval’s manufacturing facilities have doubled in size allowing for new technologies to be created to gain more production efficiency and automation in the creation of made-to-order, made-to-measure kitchen and bedroom fitted furniture for our customers.”

He added: “To be acknowledged as a finalist for not one, but two regional business awards is a real triumph and testament to the huge investments we’ve made across both brand and business. Dedicated to preserving our level of market endurance – let the judging commence!”
