SMWF Limited – the new owner of Smallbone of Devizes, Mark Wilkinson Furniture and Brookmans – has named Graham Jones as its new sales and marketing director.

Jones stepped down from his position of sales and marketing director at Mereway in August last year after seven years in the role. Before he joined Mereway in 2011, Jones worked as trade sales and marketing director at Hammonds Furniture for close to eight years.

“I am excited to be joining a company that includes much loved iconic British brands,” he said on his new appointment.

“As leaders in the design and manufacture of luxury and bespoke cabinetry, made by skilled artisans, the business has tremendous potential for success not only in the UK, but around the world, particularly in the USA where they already have established showrooms.”

SMWF Limited executive chairman Ian Gray added: “I am delighted to welcome Graham to SMWF. He has exceptional knowledge, sales skills and significant experience of the kitchen industry. I am confident he will be a great asset to the team.”

In November last year, Canburg Limited – which owned Smallbone, Mark Wilkinson and Brookmans – was acquired by Gary Barnett, the founder and president of New York-based real estate development firm Extell Development Company.

The new company SMWF currently operates a flagship London showroom in Knightsbridge, as well as a workshop and showroom in Devizes.
