Cookstown-based BA Components has received the highest Furniture Industry Research Association – FIRA – Gold certification for its range of ClicBox kitchen cabinets, receiving certification for Level H, or heavy domestic use for domestic kitchen equipment and fitted kitchen units.

BA’s ClicBox range previously achieved Level G certification – or general domestic use – from FIRA International in early 2018. “Going up to Level H meant that the ClicBox kitchen cabinet range was assessed against specified durability levels through rigorous tests conducted by our team of structural experts at FIRA International,” said FIRA testing operations manager Howard James.

“The base and wall cabinets were subject to separate tests to assess their strength, durability and safety, as they are often used in demanding environments.”

Nick Corlett – who was named CEO last year – said the certification “gives BA another reason to reassure our customers that our ClicBox cabinets are among the best in the industry, not only being audited by impartial experts but certified for their quality.”

He added: “When we received FIRA Gold for Level G we were eager to push the ClicBox cabinet range further and look at achieving Level H. We felt confident that it would withstand the additional testing conducted by FIRA International.

“This has now been demonstrated by the most trusted third-party certification organisation in our industry, which we are very proud to hold. This prestigious certification sets the benchmark high and for other cabinet manufacturers to follow.”
