Premium appliance manufacturer Miele has named award-winning chef Andrew Scott, pictured, as its new development chef, responsible for the company’s food, cooking and experience strategy.

Scott, a former Ramsay Scholarship finalist, has previously worked at Michelin-starred L’Enclume in Cumbria, Lords of the Manor in the Cotswolds, Mallory Court hotel in Warwickshire and The Curlew in Kent. He was most recently executive chef at Sudbury House Hotel.

“This is an exciting opportunity for me and I feel incredibly proud to be joining such a prestigious brand and team,” said Scott. “Miele products deliver exceptional cooking results and I am looking forward to pushing the boundaries and discovering just what’s possible in developing innovative new recipes and experiences.

“My aim is to surprise, inspire and guide Miele customers in helping them choose the products that are right for them and enable them to prepare restaurant quality results at home.”

Miele GB cooking category manager Neil Pooley added: “This is a brand new role for Miele and I very much look forward to working with Andrew who brings a wealth of incredible experience. He completely gets our ethos, customer profile and what we are trying to achieve in affirming Miele’s position as the first choice for the discerning cook.”
