Bathroom Brands has appointed Roger Cooper, pictured, as its new non-executive chairman, replacing Clive Chaplin who is set to retire.

Cooper was formerly a non-executive director at Bathroom Brands. He joined the company in 2012, having previously held from the role of Europe vice president at Ideal Standard from 2006 to 2011. Cooper joined Ideal Standard in 1970 as product manager, before becoming marketing director in 1980.

In 1987, he became sales and marketing director before being named UK managing director in 1994. During his career, he has also been chairman of the National Home Improvement Council and president of the Bathroom Manufacturers Association twice.

“Clive has made a great contribution to the group, overseeing the integration of Crosswater into the Bathroom Brands Group, the rapid expansion of the business and the move of the headquarters from Jersey to the UK at Lake View House,” Cooper said. “He will be missed by the company and we wish him a long and happy retirement.

“I am honoured to take the chairman’s role at a time when the group is extending its reach across the market and has a significant number of product introductions and market actions to support our loyal network of showrooms.”
