BSH Home Appliances – the manufacturer of Bosch, Neff, Siemens and Gaggenau – has named Silke Maurer as its new chief operating officer, responsible for manufacturing, development and innovation as well as corporate technology and global supply chain management.

Maurer joined the company in 2016 as head of quality management before being named head of corporate technology. In her new role, she succeeds Michael Schöllhorn, who left the company at the end of January.

“I am delighted that we have found a highly qualified candidate in the ranks of BSH with Silke
Mauer and will now have her fill the position of COO,” said BSH supervisory board chairman Uwe Raschk.

BSH management board chairman Karsten Ottenberg added: “We are very pleased that we can fill the position of the COO internally with Silke Maurer. Silke has achieved a great deal in various functions since she joined BSH over two years ago.

“She has not only shown that she can inspire her employees, but is a win for all of us with her high level of expertise and experience. We in the Board of Management are very much looking forward to working with her.”
