Furniture maker Crown Imperial has invested in a new purpose-built, 46-metre automated spraying line for its Herne Bay factory.

According to the company, the new machinery will provide retailers with a “swift turnaround” on the five designs in its Painted Fusion collection. Retailers will receive delivery of painted kitchen or bedroom orders within three weeks, Crown added.

The new spray line has “maximum energy recovery”, Crown said, adding: “Once the hot air from the line has been extracted and filtered, it can then be recycled to be used again in warming the incoming replacement air.”

“We continue to invest in new technology to ensure we deliver the highest quality furniture products and are thrilled to offer significantly reduced lead times for our retailers,” said Crown Imperial managing director Barry Head.
