Rugby-based furniture fittings manufacturer Häfele UK has launched a new cut-and-assemble service, Häfele to Order, for sizing, finishing, assembling and packaging selected products to customers’ specifications.

For a “small charge”, Häfele UK’s new cutting machinery can trim products to fit customers’ required measurements prior to dispatch. The company said there is no minimum order size and customers also have the option to receive any off-cuts, or give them to Häfele UK for “environmentally responsible disposal”.

The new service is initially being rolled out across “traditionally long items” including wardrobe rails, Gola profiling, plinth panels and seals.

“At Häfele we pride ourselves on being market leaders for innovation in value-added service,” said Häfele UK chief commercial officer Lee Dicey. “The introduction of our new bespoke ordering service really underpins this philosophy and is an exciting move forward for us.

“Supplying pre-cut, finished and packed products will allow our customers to make significant savings in terms of both time and money and reinforces our dedication to providing them with the very best service.”

Dicey added: “As such, we’re already committed to further investment in this service and have plans to extend it to other products in our range, including lighting, sliding door systems and drawer fronts.”
