Cosentino Group sees ‘record EBITDA’ of €143m in 2018

Cosentino Group has reported a “record EBITDA” of €143m for the 2018 financial year – an increase of 11% – as well as turnover of €984.5m marking growth of 9.3% compared with 2017.

The company said it created close to 400 new jobs last year and invested more than €88m, including on a new waste management plant as well as opening new facilities in the US, Italy, UK, France, Sweden and Poland.

Cosentino said 73% of its 2016-2020 Investment Plan is earmarked for investments in Spain, focusing on improving and increasing production capacity at the Cosentino Industrial Park in Cantoria.

For 2019, the company said it will look at maintaining sustainable growth and job creation by undertaking new investments, adding that it will have a “special focus on the digital transformation project, occupational health and safety, automation and robotization of manufacturing processes”.
