Sink and tap brand Roux Lifestyle Ltd – endorsed by Michelin-starred chef Michel Roux Jr – has fallen into administration, with Martin Maloney and Andrew Poxon of Leonard Curtis being appointed liquidators of the business.

In March, notice was given that “the company be and is hereby wound up voluntarily”, adding that Maloney and Poxon were appointed as joint liquidators “for the purposes of the winding up of the company”.

According to the company's statement of affairs on Companies House, Roux Lifestyle Ltd currently owes £389,540 to creditors, including £26,237 to Astracast Limited and more than £45,000 to Moores Furniture Group.

Roux Lifestyle Ltd was created in 2015 through a partnership of former Cooper Callas managing director Darren Cooper and Michel Roux Jr. Ben Seymour – Cooper Callas’s former national sales manager – was also a shareholder in the business. Cooper went on to buy Astracast in 2017, which has since fallen into administration twice.

In 2017, Moores Furniture Group collaborated with Roux Lifestyle Ltd to create a new premium kitchen collection, which was launched at Grand Designs Live that year. The company currently creates Roux Kitchens in collaboration with Roux Lifestyle Ltd, using taps and sinks supplied by the brand.

In March, Roux Kitchen was chosen for the new Duchy Homes Cygnet Gardens development in the Yorkshire Wolds, marking one of the first developments in the north of the UK to feature the Roux Kitchen, which is being used for nine new five-bedroom houses.

Regarding the liquidation of Roux Lifestyle Ltd, Moores said: "Moores will continue with the Roux kitchen furniture range in partnership with Michel Roux Jr and will be sourcing appropriate sinks and taps for this range themselves."
