The British Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom & Bathroom Installation – BiKBBI – is ready to start accepting expressions of interest from retailers wanting to find out more about the organisation’s revolutionary Protected initiative, which it announced earlier this year.

At its annual conference, held on the 30th January 2019 at the Houses of Parliament, the BiKBBI unveiled the game-changing new service for installers and retailers. The new protected installation service will match retailers, and their customers, to BiKBBI-accredited installers via a communication platform, with the revenue generated to be used to self-fund apprenticeships.

The BiKBBI said it is planning a number of regional events to present the scheme to interested parties. Communications manager Nicole Mercer noted that the organisation has already received interested from close to 270 independent retailers, as well as four regional retailers and three nationals.

“A great start, but more to do,” said BiKBBI CEO Damian Walters. “This is a revolutionary product for our market and one that has received significant interest. We know it won’t fit all retail models for various reasons, but it is a great option for those retailers who want to offer their customers a robust installation solution, but without the risk, cost and complication usually associated with it.”

He added: “Any retailer or installer wanting to find out more is encouraged to visit our website for more information and to register their interest online.”
