Kitchens International welcomes new operations manager

Scottish kitchen designer and retailer Kitchens International has named Francis Waite, pictured left, as its new operations manager, as well as hiring Scott McLean, right, and Gary Gourlay to its sales design team.

Waite will be responsible for overall warehouse management, vehicle fleet, tools and consumables, management checks and reports, CPD and training in his new role. He previously spent 22 years in the British Army as a movement controller for the Royal Logistics Corps.

Waite also has a degree in logistical management. “The kitchen industry is a completely different environment to my last job but is already interesting and I look forward to the new challenges ahead,” he said.

McLean has joined the company’s Tillicoultry studio, while Gourlay has joined the Edinburgh Dundas team. McLean was previously a senior design and project manager at Brooklyn Kitchens in Stirling, having worked at Paula Rosa Manhattan prior to that.

Gourlay has worked as a visual merchandiser and space planner at Dobbies, as well as designing luxury hotels in Cyprus and the Middle East. He has a degree in interior and environmental design from the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design in Dundee.
