Whirlpool has received a 2019 Red Dot award for product design for its WQ9 B1L freestanding 4 Doors fridge-freezer, having already taken home an iF Design award for the product.

This year’s Red Dot Awards saw 5,500 products entered. The winners will be formally celebrated at a special ceremony in Essen, Germany on the 8th July.

“We are truly honoured to be recognised once again with the distinguished Red Dot award for product design,” said Whirlpool cooling category manager Michela Giorgetti. “Our success is a testimony of our continued dedication to design excellence, which is at the heart of all we do.

“Outstanding design is fundamental in creating products that enhance our consumers’ lives, whether through advanced performance that make everyday tasks effortless or contemporary aesthetics that complement even the most stylish of homes.”
