Kitchen sink and tap manufacturer Blanco UK has sponsored the Mount Kilimanjaro climbing challenge for Joe Lyons, the director of Northern Ireland-based kitchen component distributor Lyons NI Ltd.

Lyons joined a team of 32 to take on Africa’s tallest mountain in order to raise funds for the Irish Rugby Football Union Charitable Trust, which supports seriously injured rugby players in their everyday lives.

“The climb was tough but very successful with all 32 team members, including four Irish rugby legends, reaching the 5,895-metre summit together,” said Lyons. “I want to thank Blanco for kindly making a generous donation to this very worthy venture.”
