London design trade show designjunction – taking place on the 19th-22nd September during London Design Festival, which runs from 14th-22nd September 2019 – has revealed the theme of this year’s show: (Re)act.

The theme is designed to encourage exhibitors to “react to new issues, opportunities, problems and audiences by producing new and exciting products and installations that encourage visitors to think differently about the world and the spaces they inhabit”.

This year’s show will also see King’s Cross as a Design District for the first time. There will be interactive features and boutique pop-ups across three key exhibition spaces, namely Cubitt House, Lewis Cubitt Park and West Handyside Canopy.

King’s Cross Light Tunnel will also house the RADO Star Prize awards programme, while the Everyman Cinema will play host to a talks programme curated by design, craft and architecture writer Grant Gibson.

Furniture and lighting brands will showcase their products in Cubitt House, while the Canopy will house 70 premium boutiques and emerging design labels. Last year designjunction – which is now in its ninth year – attracted more than 27,000 visitors across five days.
