Home lifestyle store Bell of Northampton's new managing director, Lee Ferris, has set out his vision for the future of the business.

Lee, who has worked at the store for more than 30 years after starting as a 16-year-old sales assistant and progressing to commercial director, takes on the role of managing director following the departure of Graham Jackson.

He will work closely with the company’s board of directors to add new concessions to the store, including an independent interior design shop, and grow the business further.

Last year, Bell of Northampton opened a £250,000 extension and invested heavily in its e-commerce offering, which now accounts for 20% of its business, with a team of four people managing the website content, orders and enquiries.

Ferris said: “During my last 30 plus years at Bell of Northampton, I have worked in retail sales, business to business sales, and e-commerce and marketing, selling kitchens, bathrooms, fires and stoves, and tiles and flooring.

“I was also lucky enough to have worked with, and been mentored by, some great role models during my time here. Now, I can use this experience to work with my colleagues and drive the company forward.”
