CIH welcomes new buyer for brown goods

Electrical buying group Combined Independents (Holdings) Ltd – CIH – which is part of Euronics, has appointed Norman Bruce as its new buyer for brown goods.

Bruce has previously worked at Tesco and as well as buying and category management roles at Game, Carphone Warehouse, Currys and WH Smith.

“I am thrilled with this new opportunity,” Bruce said. “My buying and retailing experience stands me in good stead at CIH and as always, the focus is understanding the customer whilst driving profitable growth.

“I’m looking forward to developing new categories, differentiation and exclusivity. It is an extremely exciting role and I am looking forward to working with the members and suppliers.”

CIH CEO Stuart Cook added: “Norman is an exciting addition to our buying team. His extensive background brings invaluable knowledge of buying and high street retailing experience to the business and the team, and we wish Norman much success.”
