Kitchen and bathroom wall panel manufacturer Fibo has supplied its wall panels for the refurbishment of the director’s facilities – namely an accessible toilet and wetroom – on the 34th floor of iconic London skyscraper The Gherkin.

The facilities have been designed exclusively for the senior management team and clients of an international investment firm. Fibo’s Aberdeen panels in matt grey from its Contemporary Tile Effect collection were chosen for the wetroom by contractor SW Bruce.

“This was the first time we’d worked with Fibo, but we’d definitely use their products again on the basis of our experience on this project,” said SW Bruce site manager Paul Jones. “The waterproof panel system was quick and easy to install, with limited waste compared to traditional ceramic tiles.

“The team at Fibo were very helpful too – they provided useful instructions for installing the panels, and the team were always on hand if we needed them,” Jones added. “Fibo’s bathroom panels were ideal for this project. The white grouting-effect line sets off the shade perfectly. Used throughout the room, the matt grey panels provide a strong, modern look using a classic colour.”
