Cookstown-based kitchen and bedroom furniture manufacturer BA Components has made two new “significant” appointments to its management team, hiring Graham Carse, pictured left, as product manager and James Harris, right, as chief operating officer.

The pair bring a combined 55 years of knowledge and production experience to the company, BA said. Carse – who has more than 30 years’ experience in the KBB industry – has previously worked at Magnet, Spring Ram, MFI and Homebase.

Most recently, he worked at Benchmarx for six years developing the company’s trade kitchen portfolio. “I'm thrilled to join BA who have impressed me with their determination for growth through new products and service enhancements,” he said. “With their state-of-the-art production facilities, I believe there is great potential and I'm looking forward to the challenge.”

Harris, who has a background in engineering, has 25 years of global supply chain experience across several industries. He spent six years as COO at Beghaus and has worked as a consultant for private equity-backed businesses.

“What really appeals to me about BA is the combination of passion and dynamism that exist in the organisation, allied to a determination to get the job done,” Harris said. “This is a business that has clear objectives and has set about achieving those with real purpose.

“My role will cover all operational functions including including the procurement, production, logistics and supply chain management, and I am looking forward to bringing my experience into the tasks at hand.”

BA CEO Nick Corlett added: “James and Graham will help deliver our long-term growth strategy and boost speed to market, while continuing our success as a leading manufacturer in the UK, ROI and European markets. We are determined to be at the forefront of the KBB industry and have ambitious plans as we head towards celebrating 30 years in business.”
