Surfaces distributor International Decorative Surfaces – IDS – recently held a “lavish” event to celebrate its 20 years in business, with more than 200 guests – including employees from across the company’s 18 branches – in attendance.

Guests were treated to an evening of food and entertainment at The Monastery in Manchester, with X Factor winner Sam Bailey headlining the event alongside opera singers John Pierce and Emily Haig, and girl group Absolute Divas.

The company held a charity auction during the event, raising more than £4,000 for children’s charity Barnardo’s and Destination Florida, which helps provide holidays for children facing life-threatening illnesses.

“It has been a privilege to celebrate 20 years of business with so many valued IDS employees, customers and suppliers who have shared the journey with us,” said IDS managing director John Bagshaw.

“We hope this celebration expressed our appreciation to everyone who has helped shape IDS into the business it is today, and we look forward to what the years ahead have in store.”
