Pontypool-based bathroom brassware and sanitaryware distributor Faucets recently held a goodbye lunch for long-time employee Chris Townend, pictured, who is retiring from his role of sales – spares specialist.

Townend originally joined Faucets in 1999 before eventually leaving to spend time in France and rejoining the company in April 2005.

“Thank you for everything,” Townend said at his leaving lunch. “It has truly been like being part of an ever-growing family. I’ll miss you all but I will be back soon to visit.”

Faucets managing director Darren Taylor said: “It’s true what the banners say, he really was a legend here, with a unique filing system! He will be missed but we are thankful for all of his hard work over the years.”
