London design trade show designjunction – taking place on the 19th-22nd September during London Design Festival, which runs from 14th-22nd September 2019 – has revealed the details of its new talks programme, which is set to “challenge, provoke and engage”.

Taking place on the 19th-20th September at the Everyman Cinema in King’s Cross, the programme – curated by design and architecture writer and commentator Grant Gibson, right – has been created to complement the show’s 2019 theme of Re(act).

Topics will include Dyslexia and Design with ARD designer Ab Rogers, centre; product designer James Rokos; metal artist Simone ten Hompel; and Cambridge University educational researcher Helen Taylor discussing how dyslexia has impacted their lives and careers.

Architect, designer and educator Nigel Coates, pictured left, will hold a talk on Queer Culture and the City, discussing how LGBTQ+ culture has “fundamentally changed – and will continue to transform – the shape of our cities” with architecture magazine Citizen editor-in-chief Isabel Allen.

Other talks will include The Future: Design in Turbulent Times, New Voices in Design, The Standard London: How the Capital Got its Hottest New Hotel and Britain Can (Still) Make It, which looks at the future of British manufacturing and the impact of Brexit.
