Whirlpool said it is getting ready for the fourth annual National Quiet Day, taking place on Wednesday 11th September 2019, and will be holding a competition to win a Whirlpool Supreme Care washing machine with a “whisper-quiet spin cycle” on the National Quiet Day website.

National Quiet Day is designed to encourage people to “seek sanctuary in silence”, Whirlpool said. The day aims to raise awareness of the issue that noise “has a substantial effect on our wellbeing and mental health”.

“At Whirlpool, we understand the importance of quiet in people’s lives, which is why we invest in the development of noise reduction technology that ensures our Supreme Care washing machines benefit from super quiet spin cycles, making home life more pleasurable,” said Whirlpool marketing director Marco Falaschetti.

“You might not be able to escape for the whole day, but take the opportunity on National Quiet Day to let a little serenity into your life, if only for a moment. The benefits of taking some quiet time come in many forms, from lowering stress levels to unleashing creativity and enhancing your senses and awareness of the world around you.”
